The curfew has been introduced to ensure that people visit each other less and thus spread the corona virus less quickly. An exception has been made for those who have to be outside at night for work or medical reasons, who are allowed to take to the streets with a statement when the curfew is in effect. Dog owners can also go outside with their pet on a leash.

Although there is a fine of 95 euros for violating the curfew, many people are still unfairly on the street every week. Last week, police issued nearly 6,500 curfews.

The rest of the corona measures have been extended until April 20, due to the rapid spread of the corona virus and the high number of hospital admissions. There will be another press conference on the situation and measures on 13 April.
