Charlotte – Detectives assigned to the crimes against children unit of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are looking for any information about a crime that was foiled last Sunday.
A girl escaped being abducted on the morning of March 28, according to a statement issued by the law enforcement agency. The incident occurred in the Independence area, southeast of Charlotte.
According to the authorities’ version, a Toyota Scion that was driving on Thermal Road approached the minor and the person inside threatened to hurt her if she did not get into the car.
Instead of obeying the kidnapper, the girl ran and escaped from the scene.
