Poison bait found again in the dog’s free-range zone

LINZ. In the municipal open-air dog zone at Blumauerstraße behind the music theater, three baits – probably containing poison – were found and reported to the police. Linz dog owners are asked to keep their eyes open and not let their four-legged friends eat anything from the floor.

Again on Tuesday morning, attentive employees of the urban green and street maintenance division found apparently poisonous bait in the urban dog free-running zone at Blumauerstrasse behind the music theater. The three baits – presumably containing poison – were immediately reported to the police. This has secured the laid out meat bait and started the investigation.

Municipal employees made aware of possible poison baits

“I ask all dog owners to be particularly careful and to ensure that the four-legged friends do not pick up or eat anything from the floor. My special thanks go to the attentive colleagues from the Urban Green and Road Maintenance division, who responded quickly and correctly. The city employees are sensitized to possible poison baits in dog zones and keep their eyes open specifically for prepared baits ”, emphasizes the speaker responsible for the city green spaces, Vice Mayor Bernhard Baier.
