Since July, players in the Premier League have been kneeling before the matches to show their support for the anti-racist campaign “Black lives matter”. But earlier in March, Crystal Palace player Wilfried Zaha chose to stand – and became the first player in the league to do so. He believes that the gesture is irrelevant, and has called it “degrading”.
– I thought it was a strong message to kneel and everyone knew what it meant, but then the discussion was moved to: should we stand or kneel ?, says Henry to CNN Sport.
