Sony will close the doors of the PlayStation Store on the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Portable in July. Games purchased before the store closes can still be downloaded and played again. Previously purchased videos will also remain accessible. Games downloaded through the PlayStation Plus subscription will remain available as long as the player remains a member.
The PlayStation 3 appeared at the end of 2006. A total of 87 million copies were sold. The 2004 PlayStation Portable sold more than 80 million copies.
