The PlayStation Store PS3 and PS Vita will close in July

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Sony will close the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita devices starting in the middle of this year.

Quoted from the page of The Verge, Tuesday, the PlayStation Store for PS3 will close on July 2, while for Vita on August 27.

Sony will also remove the buy feature on the PlayStation Portable starting July 2.

With the PlayStation Store closed, PS3 and Vita users can no longer buy game digital or DLC.

Even so, users can still download and play game and content that has been purchased.

Sony will also be deleting in-house purchases game, in-game purchase, for PS3, PS Vita and PSP after the application market is closed.

The EndGadget page says that after being closed, users cannot withdraw funds in the PSN wallet for PS3, PS Vita and PS Portable after July 2 and August 27.

The app store for the old device was removed because Sony wanted to expand the PlayStation Store for PS4 and PS5 more.
