The Investigative Police warned about different scams viralized by WhatsApp in which an attempt is made to deceive people taking advantage of the context of the pandemic.
The first deception is related to the payment of 240 thousand pesos for a supposed program of solidarity income. In the call they record the start of payment of the presumed benefit corresponding to the month of January.
“The support is intended for all kinds of people you need: single mothers, single parents, young students, grandparents, children, foreign mothers”, holds the statement.
The second is related to purchases through a retail company. The message reads the call: “To validate your purchase at Ripley for the amount of $ 44,440, enter the following link.”
Given this, the recommendation of the PDI is not to follow the link to avoid being scammed: “Corroborate the information on official websites and their social networks.”
The hoaxes that try to take advantage of the pandemic by #COVID-19.
