Russian President Vladimir Putin can be considered a murderer, Lithuanian President Gitan Nauseda admitted in an interview with the BNS news agency on Monday.
“Unfortunately, yes,” Nauseda said in response to the question of whether he, like US President Joe Biden, could call Putin a murderer.

As the President of Lithuania emphasized in the interview, Russia demonstratively does not take into account the territorial integrity of neighboring countries, such as Ukraine.
“I see many signs of open spitting – so to speak – on the values of the civilized world, the right of peoples to self-determination, the territorial sovereignty of neighboring countries, and the Kremlin has shown it quite demonstratively recently,” he added.
Another important aspect, according to Nauseda, is the situation inside Russia, where the regime is “obviously shaking with the opposition’s acceptance” and trying to suffocate it by persecuting opposition leaders, including Alexei Navalny, in the most rude way.
“Put your head on your shoulders and keep saying – you know, we want to build an inclusive relationship with Russia, as I sometimes hear from my colleagues in the European Union – so to speak, we really have to be very far from Russia, both emotionally and geographically,” President of Lithuania.
According to him, Lithuania will certainly not be the country that “sits indifferently on the last bench” and talks about more inclusive relations, seeing gross violations of human rights up close.
In an interview with ABC in mid-March, US President Joe Biden answered in the affirmative the journalist’s question whether he believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin is a murderer.-
In response to this and other statements by the US President, Russia urgently referred to consultations with its ambassador in Washington. Moscow had not taken such a step for a long time.
