A municipal policeman was deliberately struck and slightly injured in one hand by the driver of a scooter, in the night from Friday to Saturday, around 3:15 a.m., in a street in the Chaptal district, not far from avenue Georges Clémenceau, in Montpellier. The driver was arrested and taken into custody at the central police station.
A second driver who was driving a small motorcycle, however, escaped the search. The two two-wheeler pilots refused to submit to a check by municipal police under the curfew a few minutes earlier in the Plan Cabanes sector and fled. A pursuit engaged, until the episode where one of the agents of the City of Montpellier belonging to the night brigade, was deliberately struck by the driver of the scooter, while on foot, he wanted to intercept them; his accomplice on a motorbike having been able to escape. It is searched.
