Entertainment and cultural figures lamented on social networks the death by covid-19 of animator Dave Capella, known for his work as a presenter on the Venevisión program Cover page’s.
Capella was hospitalized with his parents in February after contracting the virus. This week his father, Ulises, passed away from complications with the disease and his mother, Alicia, is at home recovering, according to publications made by the animator’s partner, model Yerardy Montoya.
Journalists, entertainers and actors expressed their condolences on Twitter and Instagram for the death of Capella, whose family and friends had launched a fundraising campaign to help him and his parents overcome the disease.

The journalist Luis Olavarrieta, in addition to lamenting the death of the presenter, recalled that anonymous accounts tried to defame the fundraising campaign by Capella: “That rumor made so much noise that his Gofundme stopped. Much damage and we still don’t want to learn ”.

Others who referred to the presenter’s death were journalists Gabriel Bastidas, Sergio Monsalve, Carmela Longo, Shirley Varnagy, Sergio Novelli, Gustavo Pierral and Dereck Blanco.
“It is regrettable to know that the young entertainer Dave Capella passed away, with whom I had the opportunity to share the stage on several occasions at events in Venezuela. He was struggling with complications associated with covid-19. Big hug to his family, ”said Novelli.
While Pierral expressed: “Unfortunately Dave Capella, friend and radio and television host, leaves us. My condolences to his family and friends. God receives you in heaven ”.
Venevisión, the channel where the animator worked, published a statement lamenting his death and expressing its condolences to Capella’s relatives.
