TANGERANG SELATAN, KOMPAS.com – A teenager with the initials MH (14) was crushed dead when he stopped the truck and boarded it in Pamulang, South Tangerang, Thursday (25/3/2021) in the morning.

MH and his friends are said to be trying to get on a truck that crosses Jalan Raya Siliwangi.

Chronology

Head of Laka then Tangsel Police Iptu Agus Sutisna said the incident started with a group of children walking towards Pamulang University (Unpam).

Agus explained that truck drivers cannot brake suddenly. Thus, there was a deadly incident.

A child who was later identified as MH fell and was crushed on the leg to the thigh.

“They hitched a ride, continued to stop the truck. The cargo could not brake at once. And someone fell and ran over it, crushed his leg up to his thigh,” said Agus.

The police then secured the truck driver for further investigation.

“The driver yesterday we secured on the spot pool, the car and the vehicle. The case is still being investigated, still being investigated, “he explained.

Agus also admitted that he did not know the motive of the children in stopping the truck.

“We don’t know that way. The problem is that this is the first time a child has stopped a truck. We will develop (the motive),” he continued.

Meanwhile, the witness who was also a parking officer in the vicinity, Anjas (21), revealed that the victim and his friends often gathered and stopped passing trucks at night.

Anjas explained that local residents were anxious, so they often disbanded the group because their actions were considered dangerous.

Anjas added that at the time of the incident, the group of boys immediately ran in a hurry and left MH’s body lying on the road.

It was the residents who then gave the roadblock signs as a result of the incident.
