From the Pont Saint-Hilaire to the Pont Neuf via the Bouju, discover the various bridges steeped in history that dot the lower town of Chartres. Let’s go for a 2.5 km round trip.
Tip: if you arrive by car, park it in the Porte Morard car park.

Direction the lower town and the first bridge crossed over the Eure on this walk: the Pont de la Porte Morard, built in 1747, instead of a small wooden bridge. This stone work is the only one to have resisted the operation to destroy the city’s bridges by the fleeing German army after the D-Day landings.
