Daryl Morey was thinking of taking a break after leaving the Houston Rockets. But in reality, the leader quickly rebounded on the side of the Philadelphia Sixers. An announcement that bluffed Tilman Fertitta, the boss of the Texas franchise. He obviously took this new adventure badly. Since then, he would strive not to cede anything to his former employee.
We saw it at the time of the transfer of James Harden. The Sixers were in the race and Morey hoped to regain his superstar. But several insiders ensured that Houston would certainly send its MVP to Philly. The Rockets ultimately chose the Brooklyn Nets’ offer.
More recently, Morey hoped to recover PJ Tucker. And the veteran looked interested in playing in Pennsylvania. But no, it was eventually shipped to the Milwaukee Bucks. Two direct competitors of the 76rs each time. A simple coincidence? Probably not. Not according to Jason Dumas of Bleacher Report.

The irony is that the Rockets arguably could have had Ben Simmons rather than Victor Oladipo. And they declined to accept the Nets’ offer for James Harden. The same Oladipo they transferred again yesterday – for a swap, Kelly Olynyk and Avery Bradley. And where did they send it? At the Heat. Another competitor of the Sixers …
