KOMPAS.com – About 30 years ago, a grandfather from Secang District, Regency Magelang, Central Java, was declared missing.
Because there was absolutely no news, the grandfather was named Muhammad Masim Masruri or who is often called Mbah Sim it is also considered dead.
However, on Wednesday (24/3/2021) night, the missed Mbah Sim returned to his family.

Love walking and diligent recitation
He often walks and goes aimlessly.
It is suspected that Mbah Sim, who was diligent in reciting the Koran, felt depressed because he had not achieved his goal of studying at the Gontor Islamic Boarding School.
The reason is because of the economic condition of his parents.
“Mbah Sim really wants to study at the Gontor Islamic Boarding School, but because his parents don’t have money, he can’t. Mbah Sim becomes depressed, likes to walk away aimlessly, but he will definitely go home. If he is quiet, he must be muttering the Qur’anic verses. Quran, “Nurhayati told me.

The family has made various efforts ranging from searching, holding a seven-day group prayer to reporting to the police.

“Finally, we are sure that Mbah Sim died. Neighbors, relatives also came to the house to pray, to offer their condolences,” he said.

They immediately found out whether the figure of the grandfather was Mbah Sim, who went missing 30 years ago in Magelang, Central Java.
“Initially I was told by my brother (Muhammad Ridwan) that there was information on Mbah Sim’s whereabouts in the WhatsApp group. After I checked, I recognized the face in the upload as Mbah Sim. I immediately contacted Mbak Mey (Novitha-Mery), and looked for information from my family, to confirm again whether he is Mbah Sim, “said Nurkhayati, Friday (26/3/2021).
Nurhayati was even more convinced because the grandfather was able to name one of the names, namely Musafak.
That name is none other than Mbah Sim’s younger brother.
