Now, the smartphone manufacturer from South Korea, Samsung, has a new way to send their cellphones to customers. Samsung offers smartphone delivery services using drones or drones.
Samsung partnered with Manna Aero, a freight forwarding company. Manna Aero uses a special drone that is designed to send goods. Manna Aero’s drone can reach a top speed of over 60 km per hour and fly at an altitude of 50-80 meters.
As an initial stage, this service called Manna Drone Delivery is currently only available for Samsung customers in the Oranmore area, Ireland, Europe.
By using this drone, the products that are sent will arrive at the buyer’s house in only about three minutes after they make a transaction via the website.
However, not all products can be delivered by drone. This delivery is only valid for the purchase of certain Samsung products.
In addition, shipments using this drone can only be done in the morning or during the day and in weather conditions that do not endanger flights.
As compiled by KompasTekno from SamMobile, Thursday (25/3/2021), in the future, Samsung plans to expand the delivery service options using this drone in several other areas.
“We (Samsung) are always looking for ways to bring the best innovation to our customers. Therefore, we are delighted to bring this drone delivery service especially to our customers in Ireland,” said Eamonn Grant, Head of Online Samsung Ireland.
