A rocket attack triggered a fire at an oil terminal in southern Saudi Arabia, on the day six years after the country’s military intervention in Yemen.

Saudi Arabia’s energy ministry did not say who was behind the attack in Jizan province on Thursday, but it comes after a period of several attacks by the Houthi rebels in Yemen.
The attack caused a fire in one of the tanks at the terminal, the ministry said in a statement issued by the Saudi State Press Agency. No injuries were reported in the rocket attack and the ensuing fire.
Saudi Arabia condemns the attack, saying it is not just an attack on the kingdom, but also on the world economy and the global energy supply.
Earlier Thursday, several drones with explosives were fired at Saudi Arabia, state media reports. The Houthis are also said to have tried to attack the universities in the towns of Najran and Jizan near the border.
The rebels have not claimed responsibility for the attacks.
Previous attacks have targeted airports and oil terminals. The increase in attacks from the neighboring country in the south is happening despite the US attempts to create a ceasefire between the parties.
The US special envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, is scheduled to return to the Middle East to try to negotiate a ceasefire agreement in the war-torn country.
