Cristiano Ronaldo played in a total of 34 games this season. He scored 30 goals and prepared four more goals – a top value. He clearly tops the list of top scorers in Serie A. Romelu Lukaku scored four goals less than the Portuguese.
Despite its good season, “CR7” has lost ten million euros in market value. The 36-year-old Portuguese is still worth 50 million euros and is no longer one of the top 10 in the Italian league. By devaluing Transfermarkt Ronaldo is currently in 12th place. At Juventus, Chiesa, Dybala and de Ligt are even three players more valuable than the five-time world footballer.
Where will Ronaldo play in the future
One of the reasons for the adjustment is his team. Jatin Dietl from Transfermarkt says: “The course of the Juventus season and above all the renewed elimination in the Champions League, which Ronaldo could not avert, although he was signed for precisely these games, inevitably lead to a devaluation.” However, it is not just the performance that is responsible for the deficit: “Ronaldo is one of the outstanding Serie A players this year too, there is no doubt about that. However, age advances and with an exceptional market value like his, the demands are of course correspondingly, ”says Dietl.
Ronaldo himself will probably not be happy about the devaluation. After an adjustment a year ago, the Portuguese blocked transfer market on Instagram. Those in charge of the site then said: “He told us that he was not happy with his market value.” So now there is another gradation. Transfermarkt can certainly not hope that the blockage will be lifted.
Although he will never reach his highest market value of 120 million euros, he is still one of the most sought-after professionals in the world even at an advanced age. Its future is currently still open. Recently there had been repeated rumors that Ronaldo could leave Juventus in the summer of 2021 and return to his ex-club Real Madrid or move to Paris Saint-Germain. His contract with the old lady runs until 2022. After the defeat against Benevento Calcio, the Juve sports director spoke a word of power: “We have decided to keep Cristiano Ronaldo. He’s the best player in the world and he’ll stay with us. “
