From the opening minutes, fast hockey was played, both teams tried to guard the defensive zone and set off into dangerous counterattacks. In the 4th minute, Sojčík could open the score, which was left by Sádecký’s puck, but he did not shoot Belányi ready. In the middle of the 11th minute, Faško-Rudáš remained uncovered in front of the goal area, but the puck could not flow well. In the 14th minute, the “soldiers” were lucky. The visitors scored, but he didn’t pay, but Valent kicked a goal in front of him from his position. At the end of the third, Sádecký did not succeed either, as he outnumbered his opponents in weakness and checked the attention of the goalkeeper of the “rams”.
Trenčians had an ideal entrance to the second period. The knocked-out puck sent Paukovček to the completely free Sojčík with his ass and he no longer had a problem hitting the exposed part of the goal. The Bystrice had an ideal opportunity to equalize in the following minutes, when they played two power games in a row in short succession. Paradoxically, Sojčík got into the most serious chance, who did not beat Belányi with a backhand ending. In the middle of the match, the visiting goalkeeper was frightened by Sojčík, but he showed an excellent reflex. With 34 minutes played, Devine had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot flew harmlessly into the side-netting of the goal. At the end of the middle part, the rams on the hockey stick had a balance. Immediately Tamáš won the puck behind the goal, but Výhonský did not pass the puck up close through Valent’s concrete.
The beginning of the third twenty-minute minute belonged to Dukla. Sojčík hits the Mayor, but his shot was kicked by the goalkeeper. In the 44th minute, the puck remained in front of Rehuš and he increased to 2 – 0 without any problems into the open goal. Half a minute later, Dukla led with a three-goal difference, Berisha sent the puck into the net. With 50 minutes played, Dukla put themselves up 4 – 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to Rehuš, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. In the very end, the guests managed to achieve an honorable success, when Faško-Rudáš pushed through with a placed shot in a power play.
