Andi Mallarangeng emphasized that Ibas had nothing to do with the case Hambalang. Regarding Anas Urbaningrum, Andi said that Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) actually saved the party when there was a case.

The Hambalang case also involved Andi Mallarangeng. Andi said he had served the sentence well.
“When I was declared banned myself, at that time I had not even been declared a suspect because of the Hambalang issue. I immediately resigned as Menpora and also from my position in the Democratic Party as Secretary of the Board of Trustees, but still as a member of the Democratic Party,” said the former Menpora.
“By the court, I was declared to be responsible as the highest leader in the Ministry of Youth and Sports, considered not to carry out proper supervision. I was sentenced to 4 years in prison but I was not asked to return a single rupiah to the state, because I did not receive money, did not order to receive money, and “I have not reported any receipt of money from anyone. I have lived the punishment well,” he continued.
Previously, Moeldoko’s camp held a press conference in the region Hambalang. Initially, the Moeldoko camp considered the Hambalang case to be one of the causes for the demise of the Democrat Party’s electability.
