Astonishing the delicacy and ease that emerge from his playing, while the guitar is half its size! Deniz Ramazonov, 9, and his teacher at the Conservatory of Strasbourg Graciela Pueyo chose the classical piece My favorite , a traditional piece from Argentina, arranged by Michael Langer, to compete in the 2021 selection of the National Small Hands Symphonic Orchestra. Successful bet for the young musician who will join the final of the competition next May
Since confinement in March 2020, the competition has been going on remotely by sending short videos to the jury which chooses the future recruits of this orchestra made up of children aged 6 to 17 years. For one year, 500 young prodigies from all regions of France are brought together in various instrumental disciplines: chamber music, symphonic music, jazz, rock, with the addition of the Petites Mains Symphonique choir recently. Three academies per year, in Normandy, Corsica and Brittany, allow children to work on their repertoire together, while they are called upon for performances, recordings, TV shows and concerts in France and abroad. Venues such as the Palais des Congrès de Paris, Pleyel, the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and the Casino de Paris have hosted the Orchestra, which has also made numerous television shows.
Deniz, who has already won victories in the Alsace chess championship, little chicks category, knows the stress of competition and the satisfaction of success. “He was also inspired by the musical journey of his big sisters,” remarks his mother Marina Ramazanova. They have already been part of the selection! All this would have been impossible without the support of their teachers at the Strasbourg Conservatory! “
