September 19, 2020 was to be a happy Saturday in the town of Bron, east of Lyon, in particular with the celebration of a wedding which was planned at the town hall.

But the sixty participants had arrived 30 minutes late after performing rodeos in large engines or on motorcycles in the streets of the city. A merry-go-round started the night before.

Three people had been arrested after the facts: the father and the two brothers of the groom who had been placed under judicial control. This Wednesday, six months after the facts, they were tried at the Lyon judicial court. During the hearing, no regret was pronounced on the part of the defendants, enough to annoy the president of the court. One hundred day fines of 10 euros were required against the three suspects. The judgment will be rendered on April 28.

As a reminder, the brilliant municipality then decided to crack down while maintaining the ceremony, in particular because the father of the groom is an agent of the City. The couple’s union was finally celebrated by Jérémie Bréaud when no guest had been allowed to enter, except the couple, their witnesses and close relatives. Several relatives of the fiancés had then taken the news very badly and threatened an elected official, before trying to force their way into the town hall. Arrived there, the police had met a vehement crowd, raining blows and insults. In particular, tear gas had to be used by the police.
