Taunusstein included in nationwide traffic census

As part of the five-year nationwide road traffic censuses commissioned by the Federal Ministry of Transport, video-supported traffic censuses will also be carried out by Hessen Mobil in Taunusstein this year, announced the city administration. A total of 212 counting points in the area of ​​responsibility of the road maintenance authorities in Kemel, Geisenheim, Idstein, Usingen, Hofheim and Offenbach record the volume of traffic on federal and state roads as well as in the Hochtaunus district, Offenbach district, Main-Taunus district and Rheingau-Taunus district on district roads.

The survey takes place predominantly outside of the town through-traffic on the open road and in individual cases within town. The recording period extends from April to October, with traffic being recorded on working days from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sundays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Hessen Mobil has commissioned Mociety Consult GmbH to carry out the measurement.
