TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Head of the DKI Jakarta Social Service, Premi Lasari, revealed that the findings of the deduction of cash social assistance or cash assistance were not only done by a head of the neighborhood unit (RT). There are several heads of RT and RW who were caught circumcising the cash social assistance.
“There were several RT / RW elements who were replaced because they cut the residents’ BST. There was one person who was cut up to Rp.50 thousand,” said Premi during a joint hearing with Commission E DPRD DKI, Wednesday, March 24, 2021.
The Social Service has opened an information center service through the WhatsApp application to receive citizen reports regarding the problem of distributing cash social assistance. Some complaints came in that there was a cut in cash social assistance by the head of the neighborhood.
The government also followed up on the report, and found evidence of a cut in cash social assistance received by residents. In the inspection process, head of RT it admits to having cut BST residents.
“We asked the village head to check at that time and the village head did field checks accompanied by evidence and a statement letter on a stamp duty.”
The DKI government has provided cash assistance to 1.1 million households affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Cash assistance from DKI is channeled through Bank DKI accounts.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Social Affairs distributed cash social assistance to 750 thousand heads of families through PT Pos Indonesia. Cash assistance is given for four months. Every recipient BST get IDR 300 thousand per month.

Member of Commission E DPRD DKI, Ima Mahdiah, admitted that he had received many reports regarding the deduction of cash social assistance by the head of the RT. The PDI-P politician found that one RT head in the North Jakarta area cut Rp.10 thousand for each Bansos recipient. “But not all RT / RW are like this, there are also many RT RWs that are good, but because these people become ugly.”
