Tauberbischofsheim. (pm) In Tauberbischofsheim, the corona test station will start this week. The first tests will be offered on Friday, March 26th. From Thursday, March 25, appointments can be made quickly and easily online via the municipal homepage (Button “Online Appointments”) can be booked. In addition, the corresponding QR code can be found on the doors of the city administration in the cloister courtyard and town hall.
Simply scan the QR code with your mobile phone camera and you will be automatically guided to make an appointment. The test hotline 803-12 is available for support and questions during the city administration’s usual opening times. If no more appointments can be booked online, please refrain from calling the hotline, because then all appointments are currently taken. New dates will be set gradually and depending on availability and needs. The quickest way is if test persons fill out the form from the online appointment arrangement and bring them to the appointment.
Only symptom-free people aged 18 and over are tested
One corona rapid test per citizen per week – this is how the federal and state governments decided at the beginning of March. This strategy is intended to contain the pandemic and facilitate easing. From Friday, citizens without corona symptoms in Tauberbischofsheim can be tested for the corona virus in the technology and start-up center.
In cooperation with the Tauberbischofsheim fire brigade, the DRK district association Tauberbischofsheim e. V. and the pharmacies “Apotheke im Ärztehaus” and “Franken-Apotheke”, the first preparations were made and additional test staff were trained last Saturday. The members of the DLRG and employees of the Tauberbischofsheim city administration have been expanding the group of helpers since Monday.
Tests are carried out simultaneously at two test stations in the technology and start-up center at Wört. It starts at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 26th. The team of the DRK district association Tauberbischofsheim makes the start. On Saturday, the fire brigade will carry out the tests with the support of volunteer helpers from the Tauberbischofsheim city administration.
In the coming week there will be further test offers on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The exact times will be announced. The “Apotheke im Ärztehaus” team conducts the tests on Tuesday and Wednesday and the “Franken-Apotheke” team on Thursday.
A lot of hands are needed – the training of test personnel should continue
Sufficient trained staff is a prerequisite for the implementation of the rapid test strategy. On Saturday, volunteers from trainers from the DRK district association Tauberbischofsheim e. V. trained. Mayor Schmidt appeals to the population: “In order to be able to offer as many tests as possible, many hands are needed.
If you are interested in making a contribution to the fight against the spread of the corona virus, please contact the Tauberbischofsheim city administration at [email protected]. We are looking for other people who can be trained to carry out the tests as well as “typists” for the paperwork at the entrance and exit ”.
Many committed helpers from the fire brigade have already reported. Mayor Anette Schmidt also asked her employees for help: “I would be delighted if we could distribute this community action for our city and our citizens on as many shoulders as possible”.
