All vaccines that have been cleared for emergency use by the FDA are very safe and effective. The vaccine has been tested in more than 80,000 people in the US (of all ages, races, and ethnic groups) and has been safely administered to more than 60,000,000 people in the US.

Watch the video “The COVID-19 Vaccine and the Black Community”:

We are working hard to make sure the vaccine is distributed fairly. We have a mobile unit that brings vaccine to underserved communities and we have partnered with local community organizations to administer vaccines to people with disabilities, the homeless, and people who speak languages other than English. We are running pop-up clinics in communities where residents may have limited access to the technology or transportation they need to register and receive the vaccine. You can learn more about how we are facilitating access to vaccines.

There are many ways to get vaccinated. The Vaccination Routes chart below shows the different ways to get the vaccine. For some people, like older people, there are several ways to get vaccinated, such as pharmacies, Health Department events, and clinics. Get the shot from any provider who can make the first appointment!
