We are taking International Women’s Month as an occasion for a very special episode. Last but not least, the cover story of Spiegel magazine (“Feindbild Frau”) and International Women’s Day on March 8th have become important reminders for women. They are intended to remind people of the importance of appreciation, safety and inclusion within these communities in social media as well. In Facebook Marketing Talk # 40, Sandra Körs (Head of Industry for Beauty & Health at Facebook) and Mathilde Burnecki (Strategic Partner Manager for Instagram) host Jin Choi. With Karo Kauer (karokauer), Entrepreneur as well as content creator and Verena Prechtl (ms_wunderbar), Plus-size model & content creator, they have invited two guests who stand for supporting other women – but also do a lot in terms of education in the community. The result is a round of talks between inspiring women about values, attitudes and role model functions. It’s about how women enrich social media and what brands can learn from it. It’s about the power of language, the removal of taboos and tolerance for mistakes. But it is also about shocking comments, very specific examples (‘Respect my size’ campaign), about tools and aids to protect women that already exist on Facebook and Instagram – and also about those who are not yet available .
