“This lockdown, which was necessary, was delayed. As early as the end of February, the trend of increasing cases was clearly visible,” the expert told Bulgaria on air.

He added that the deaths currently reported are between 100-150 a day. This, according to the expert, means that one plane with passengers falls every day.

“Somewhere around 10% of them need hospitalization. As an absolute number, they are very large,” he said.
