Seizure of hookah tobacco (© Customs)
A grocery store and a fast-food restaurant in Montpellier are subject to administrative closure, after customs and municipal police checks. And this from Monday. The AS sign located rue de Las Sorbes, near avenue de Lodève is notified of a fifteen-day closure. On February 3, at 3:30 p.m., Customs of the Montpellier regional office discovered 3 kilos of hookah tobacco (62 packets of 50 grams), 77 packets of cigarettes (1.54 kilos) and 21 packets of roll-your-own tobacco of 30 grams each. The operator admitted that the tobacco was intended for sale to customers, which is prohibited by law.
Another establishment, the Tacos One fast-food restaurant, rue Eurydice, in the Celleneuve district, is closed one month, after two checks carried out by municipal police, on December 11 (at 1 a.m.) and (at 11 p.m.) on February 1, where customers were surprised as they came to collect food orders, during the curfew. The agents recorded in their reports given to the police of the departmental security of Hérault and sent to the prefecture, that the metal curtain of the grocery store was up, which the management contests. This establishment had already been the subject of a 15-day administrative closure in November.
