Regarding the Iranian nuclear issue, the two sides believe that the United States must return unconditionally to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) as soon as possible and revoke its unilateral sanctions imposed on Iran, the statement said. .

At the same time, they called on Iran to return to compliance with the plan and expressed support for the role of the JCPOA in preventing nuclear proliferation, the statement said.

The two sides also proposed the establishment of a regional security dialogue platform to form a new consensus on resolving the security concerns of countries in the region.

As for the question of Afghanistan, the two ministers attach great importance to the various international efforts and wish to see all the dialogue mechanisms related to Afghanistan complement each other and truly embody a process “led and taken in hand by the Afghans”. , in order to accelerate the process of peace, reconciliation and reconstruction.

The two ministers expressed their deep concern over the current situation in Myanmar, the statement said.

They expressed their support for all parties in Myanmar to seek a political solution to the current crisis within the constitutional and legal framework, avoid violent behavior, prevent outside forces from taking advantage of the crisis for their own gain and continue to promote democratic transition.

The two sides also coordinated their positions on a wide range of issues, such as UN reform, climate change, the situation in Asia-Pacific, Syria and Sudan. The two sides will continue their discussions Tuesday on bilateral relations and international and regional situations, the statement said.
