has been around for a few years and is an income platform for journalists, opinion makers and artists. Media makers can build their own ‘community’, which makes them less dependent on an editorial team or advertising income. The platform offers the possibility to raise money through donations.
BackMe has international ambitions and tries to gain a foothold in countries where there is little or no freedom of expression or freedom of the press, such as Iran, Belarus, Turkey, Iran and China.
