June 30 is getting closer every day, which is why, as it is assumed, market rumors chase each other, on time. From France, in these hours, two names have emerged for the (feared) future of the Rossoneri goal, or the possible farewell of Gigio Donnarumma: Maignan of Lille and Areola of PSG, on loan with the right to Fulham. Voices that must be recorded, but do not change what is the first, and absolute, will of the club: the renewal of the ’99 class.
DISTANCE AND CONTRACTS – The economic gap has not yet been bridged, otherwise Gigio would have already signed the new contract. The fact remains that Milan will hardly miss Donnarumma to zero, which is why the attempts will be numerous and the efforts could also increase. The management for now would have settled at around 7-8 million euros, against a request of about 10 million per year: there was no possibility of cutting this gap, the negotiations would have already ended, but when the wills correspond, the sacrifices (on one side and on the other) become predictable.
THE PRIORITY – The feeling is that Milan want to have, if not the certainty, the firm conviction of hitting one of the Champions League places. Aiming for the Scudetto, which could only come with a complicated collapse of Inter, is the key to achieving the real goal. It is obvious that with more income, the club would have more economic availability both on the market and on renewals, including that of Donnarumma. Having said that, the Rossoneri’s priority is to keep the young goalkeeper, for a very long series of reasons: the technical value, the representation, the economic damage of a goodbye to zero and the question of image. There will still be work to be done, but we will work until the end with a single goal in mind.
