Rheingau-Taunus Marketing Association is looking for new members

The association, which is a partner in Rheingau-Taunus Kultur und Tourismus GmbH, wants to bring hosts and tourism providers together in order to be more effective.

RHEINGAU – (red). An improved representation of the members on the website of the destination rheingau.com and an even more diverse range of further training opportunities for employees at the beginning of the season to be ready for guests’ questions – these are two examples of how the Rheingau-Taunus Marketing Association draws heavily on the Wants to help members affected by the pandemic. In the board meeting of the association, a variety of possible ways were discussed to bring the around 50 members – they come from the tourism industry, hotel and gastronomy, including winegrowers – into conversation. The association, which is a partner in Rheingau-Taunus Kultur und Tourismus GmbH, wants to bring hosts and tourism providers together in order to be able to present themselves more effectively on the market. For this, the chairman Peter Häfner, operator of Niederwaldgastronomie and owner of the Hotel Trapp in Rüdesheim, wants to win new members.

A festival for the members is planned for October 22nd, if the Corona situation allows. It is intended to strengthen the sense of community and to create the necessary trust to tackle things together. A day excursion in the coming year to a region in which nature, wine and cultural experiences are also in the foreground, should enable the viewer to think outside the box.

The other measures that the Board of Management has initiated and will continue to promote will be presented to the members in the next virtual exchange on April 13th. The digital meetings have existed for a year and are well received, even if unfortunately not all of them use the opportunity to exchange ideas digitally, as Häfner says.

The general meeting is planned to be present on September 6th. There will be two digital workshops on March 29 and April 27, also for those interested who are not members of the association. The first concerns advising guests for employees of the tourist information, and the second concerns the rights of hosts. A maximum of 20 participants can take part.
