Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick knows his players and coaches have earned a break — and they will get just that for a few days.
“The players will train in Munich but also have a few days off to have a break. It’s the same for the coaching staff. I think we’ve earned it,” Flick said to FCBayern.com.
Flick knows that he will need his roster in tip-top shape for such a daunting schedule. With a Bundesliga showdown against RB Leipzig and a Champions League fixture against Paris Saint-Germain on the immediate docket, the Bavarians will need to be fresh.
Timo Werner’s first season at Chelsea has been a roller coaster ride, but the Germany international is currently on the upswing. Last week, we saw Sport Bild’s Christian Falk (not shockingly) reveal that Werner is not open to a swap deal with Borussia Dortmund that would involve BVB phenom Erling Haaland:
With so many clubs hunting Haaland, however, could Borussia Dortmund be planning a move for Werner should Chelsea emerge victorious in its pursuit of the 20-year-old Norwegian?

While Chelsea are possibly dismissing German international striker Timo Werner (25), Borussia Dortmund management are planning a run at former RB Leipzig hitman. Stuttgart alumni was purchased by Blues, last summer, on a 53 million euros transfer fee.
It would be tough to believe that Chelsea is already seeking to dump off Werner — especially with Thomas Tuchel at the helm. Still, if Chelsea adds Haaland or some other forward, the Londoners could look to unload at least some of the talent it currently has stockpiled for its frontline.
Per Marca (as captured by Sky), Werner might not have to worry about a potential Haaland move to Chelsea anyway. The Norwegian powerhouse allegedly wants a move to Real Madrid (because —of course he does — in Marca’s eyes):

Juventus are reportedly willing to offer Douglas Costa or Aaron Ramsey as part of a potential swap deal for Moise Kean this summer. The Italian giants are keen on bringing their former frontman back to Turin, after selling him to the Toffees in 2019 for a fee of £27.5million.
Per Transfer market, however, Costa might be of interest to Gremio:
In all this, a hypothesis, even a romantic one, takes more and more importance. That of a return of Douglas Costa to the club where he grew up and became great: Gremio. Of course, to make this return a reality would require an effort on his part as well. Because at best the Brazilian club could grant him a salary not a little lower than the current one, although there are then alternative solutions to raise the salary perhaps through direct agreements on merchandising.

The rumors linking Saul Niguez to Bayern Munich were disputed heavily in Germany, but it looks like Manchester United could actually be ready to make an offer for the Atletico Madrid midfielder:
Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Saul Niguez this summer but are not prepared to pay more than €50m (£43m) to bring the Atletico Madrid midfielder to Old Trafford. The 26-year-old’s contract at Wanda Metropolitano is due to run until June 2026, but there has recently been speculation surrounding his future at the club.
According to La Razon, the Red Devils are currently the only side to show a concrete interest in the Spaniard, who has scored twice in 30 appearances for Diego Simeone’s team this season. However, the report claims that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have made it clear that they would not pay more than €50m (£43m) for the versatile midfielder.
