In the past few days, 331 municipalities have determined and announced how many votes each individual candidate has received. Baudet received 223,876 votes in those municipalities, Van Haga 221,371. The difference between the two candidates is 2505 votes.
Baudet has received the most votes of the two in 178 municipalities, Van Haga in 152.
In the Gelderland municipality of Overbetuwe, the two candidates received exactly the same number of votes. They both ended up with 633 votes. In Son en Breugel, Bunnik and Voorst, Van Haga got one more vote, in Roerdalen and on Vlieland, Baudet had the smallest possible lead over Van Haga. In 32 other congregations the difference was ten votes or less.
Almelo
Baudet achieved its biggest lead in Almelo. There he received 448 more votes than Van Haga. In Enschede the difference was 430 votes in favor of Baudet. In the municipality of Westland in South Holland, Forum voters saw more in Van Haga. There he received 503 more votes than Baudet. In his hometown of Haarlem, Van Haga finished with a lead of 455 votes.
The municipalities where Van Haga is more popular are mainly in North Holland. There he beats his party member in 36 municipalities. In Friesland, Limburg and South Holland, Van Haga also draws the longest straw more often. In North Brabant, the roles have been reversed and Baudet is the most popular of the two, beating Van Haga in 52 municipalities there. In Overijssel and Gelderland, Baudet is also a considerably larger voice attractor than Van Haga.
Van Haga came to the House of Representatives in the previous elections, in 2017, for the VVD. In 2019 he was expelled from the group and continued as a one-man faction, the Van Haga group. Last December he joined the Forum for Democracy. In the Chamber, Van Haga is working on the corona virus, among other things.
