Images show a Radeon RX 6700 video card from PowerColor with 6GB vram. This means that the card has half the video memory than the RX 6700 XT. AMD has not yet officially announced the variant.
The images of the PowerColor Radeon RX 6700 Fighter were accidentally released too early, writes TechPowerUp. The box says that the card has 6GB vram. Earlier this year there was already a registration of an RX 6700 video card with the same amount of vram, but according to VideoCardz there are also registrations showing variants with 12GB. It’s possible that AMD will release both 6GB and 12GB versions of the RX 6700, but that’s not certain yet.
Support for the RX 6700 series already appeared in a recent AMD driver. AMD already released the RX 6700 XT earlier this month, but the non-XT variant has not been officially announced yet. It is expected that the cheaper version will use the same Navi 22 GPU, but how many cores are active is not yet clear. The 192bit memory bus would be the same as that of the RX 6700 XT.
