On the vineyard, Stanley is accompanied by zebras, camels, alpacas and other animals. Visitors can go on a mini safari, as it were, while tasting different wines. But according to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, the vineyard owners are not licensed to keep such large animals.

According to TMZ, Dakota Semler, owner of ‘Malibu Wine Safaris’, and her father Ron, who owns Stanley the giraffe, have been detained for both keeping wildlife and forging documents to obtain a permit for Stanley.

The giraffe may continue to live in its trusted place for the time being. The authorities saw no opportunity to transport Stanley, so they confiscated the animal “on the spot” until more is clear about its future.
