On the 134 communes of Bouches-du-Rhône, only one has an incidence rate greater than 1,000 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. As a reminder, the maximum alert threshold is set at 250 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

An incidence rate between 250 and 500 in majority
According to the latest data from Public Health France, a majority of municipalities in the Bouches-du-Rhône department, have an incidence rate above the maximum alert threshold. Indeed, around sixty municipalities have an incidence rate between 250 and 500 cases for 100,000 inhabitants.
Among them, the city of Marseille (except the 7e arrondissement), Aix en Provence, Arles, Port-de-Bouc, FOS on sea, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, or Vitrolles.
As stated previously, the 7e Marseille district seems to be the least affected by the virus for the moment, with an incidence rate recorded below the maximum alert threshold, i.e. between 150 and 250 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
Same thing for Cassis, Salon-de-Provence, Cabriès, Istres, or Ceyreste.
A single municipality “spared” by the virus
If a single municipality reaches an incidence rate greater than 1,000 cases per 100,000 inhabitants; conversely, there is only one “spared by the virus”.
This is the municipality of Beaurecueil, which records an incidence rate less than 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
At departmental level, the latest data from Covid Tracker dating from Saturday March 20, 2021, show an incidence rate at 315 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
