Vaccines against coronavirus – EU countries were offered non-existent vaccines for 16 billion euros

Attackers tried to sell non-existent coronavirus vaccines worth 16 billion euros to European Union countries. The information was confirmed by the European Anti-Fraud Bureau.

Finland was among the countries that were offered non-existent vaccines. As the Director General of the Bureau Ville Italja noted, fraudsters often operate from third countries.

“We have studied the proposals and found out that the criminals are behind them. The proposals are well drafted, they look quite realistic. We are talking about organized crime. That is, there are proposals, but these vaccines do not really exist,” Itela explains.
