With his 719th and 720th goals for the Washington Capitals, Alexander Ovetschkin led his club to the seventh victory in a row in the NHL. The Russian captain of the Capitals scored both goals in the 2-1 win against New York Rangers on Friday, scoring seven times in the past seven games.
The Capitals have won 20 of their 30 games this season and are therefore in second place in an overall league table.
