Following the announcement of a reconfinement in 16 departments including Ile-de-France, in order to limit the spread of the Covid, Parisians and Ile-de-France residents are wondering: can we go and get some oxygen during this difficult period in parks and gardens? The answer is yes !

It is now official. Jean Castex decreed, during his press briefing on March 18, 2021, a new confinement lasting 4 weeks, in 16 departments including Ile-de-France and Paris. From Friday March 19 at midnight, from new restrictions have therefore been put in place, such as the closure of a number of non-essential businesses. On the other hand, schools, colleges and high schools remain open.

About the parks and gardens, which had sparked controversy during the first confinement, they will remain open throughout this third confinement, as during the second confinement.

But while he will be possible to walk or play sports alone in the green spaces of the capital and Ile-de-France, there is no not allowed to meet up with friends for a picnic, for example. No groups of people, that’s the idea.

In addition, the curfew having been moved back by one hour from Saturday March 20, the closing of the gardens will now take place at 19 hours, including for gardens, the opening hours of which are usually fixed. Note that the park’s closing operations will begin at 6:45 p.m.

Good news for the mental health of Parisians and Ile-de-France residents, in this complicated period and as France is preparing to switch to summer time next weekend.
