The reported difficulties
Several users of social networks Facebook and Instagram, and also instant messaging WhatsApp reported the breakdown Friday early evening. They indeed encountered difficulties on the platforms for about twenty minutes. On Instagram for example, the most reported difficulties were related to the inability to navigate in their news feed, reports the Huffington Post. On Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp, users struggled to send or receive messages.
No explanation from Facebook
These three platforms belong to Mark Zuckerberg. Facebook was asked about this blackout, but was unable to provide an answer on its extent or duration. “Earlier today, a technical issue caused difficulty in accessing some Facebook services. We have fixed this issue for everyone, and we apologize for any inconvenience.”, said in the evening a spokesperson for the company Facebook quoted by The Parisian.
According to BFMTV, at least 20,000 people were said to have been victims of theInstagram in France against more than 130,000 in the United States. Less than twenty minutes after the first comments from Internet users, the return to normal was noted.
