The 36-year-old from Mettmann missed the cut at the golf tournament in Palm Beach Gardens and was eliminated on the par 70 course with a total of 153 strokes after two rounds. For the two-time major winner, it was the first tournament on the US tour since August last year.
The American Aaron Wise took the lead at the event in Florida, which is endowed with seven million US dollars. With 128 strokes, the 24-year-old is just ahead of his compatriot Brandon Hagy and Australian Matt Jones (both 131 strokes). Besides Kaymer, there are no other German golfers at the start of the Honda Classic.
