Virologist Steven Van Gucht also frowned tonight when the Consultation Committee conjured up the new train measure against corona from the bag of tricks. Van Gucht does not know from which old GEES or GEMS advice that was still dug up. Because it is certainly not a recommendation from the scientific advisory committee. “So a surprise, also for me,” laughs virologist Steven Van Gucht. “In the past, something like this was already suggested, but it is not the case that there are suddenly new data that a train would be a source of infection.”
