On Thursday, new vaccine shipments arrived in Hungary: 54,000 doses of Moderna and 21,600 doses of AstraZeneca. According to the data of the site, Hungary has so far tied up the following quantities of each vaccine:

  • Pfizer-BioNtech committed 10,870,000 doses and received 1,129,425 doses

  • AstraZeneca committed 6,540,000 doses and received 426,700 doses
  • Szputynik V committed 2,000,000 doses, received 425,600 doses
  • Sinopharm has committed 5,000,000 doses and 1,100,000 doses have been received
  • Janssen committed 4,360,000 servings, 0 servings arrived
  • CureVac committed 500,000 doses, 0 doses received.

Thus, a total of 24,014,000 doses of vaccine have so far been procured from EU procurement by the Orbán government, of which 1,690,525 doses have been received so far. In contrast, a total of 7 million doses of “eastern” vaccines were contracted, of which Hungary received 1,525,600 doses.
