EUROPE-. The knockout stages of the Champions and Europa League went down in history this Thursday, as the clubs that will play the quarterfinals of both ‘Old Continent’ tournaments have already been defined.
The eight teams qualified for the 2020-21 Champions League quarterfinals were defined last Wednesday, as Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Porto, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Real Madrid advanced.
In the case of the Europa League, the eight clubs qualified for the quarterfinal round of the competition on Thursday: Granada, Roma, Arsenal, Dinamo Zagreb, Villarreal, Slavia Prague, Manchester United and Ajax.
The country with the most representatives in the quarterfinals of the two European competitions is England, as three Premier League teams will seek to conquer the ‘orejona’, while two the Europa League trophy.
