The Institute for Educational Research and Pedagogical Development (IDEP) reported that it continues to strengthen the quality of education to close gaps in Bogotá schools, hand in hand with its teachers.
During 2020, through the ‘Inspiring Teachers and Teachers’ program, the institute achieved link 45 teachers from across the city to strengthen their investigative competencies and their pedagogical practices in schools, with the accompaniment of expert researchers.
Since last Wednesday, March 17, the Institute for Educational Research and Pedagogical Development IDEP opened the call for the teachers of Bogotá to become mentors of 110 teachers in district schools, from one of the nine themes what will be part of the program Teachers who Inspire.
IDEP confirmed that the nine selected in this call, in addition to accompanying teachers to strengthen their skills and competencies, will receive incentives to participate in international events, strengthen their professional profile and write academic articles.
Who is it for?
The call is aimed at teachers and career teaching directors, linked to the Secretariat of Education of Bogotá, who have developed outstanding research and innovation processes recognized by the academic community or awarded prizes for teaching at the district, national and national levels. international.
1. Be a career teacher linked to the Secretary of Education of Bogotá.
2. Have recognized experience in educational research and / or innovation processes in any of the eleven lines.
3. Have time availability of approximately four (4) hours per week to lead the mentoring work of the 10 inspiring teachers in their line.
4. Possess experience in group work with teachers, as well as in processes of systematization of pedagogical practice.
5. Have experience in events or circuits of dissemination and / or competition at the local, national or international level.
6. Have postgraduate training associated with the line of interest to lead.

1. Comply with the activities defined for the accompaniment process to inspiring teachers, in their different components of the program.
2. Articulate and coordinate your activities with the assistant of your thematic line.
3. Provide a personalized and horizontal accompaniment that inspires and challenges the evolution of the Inspiring Teacher, facilitating their participation in the activities of the program and the consolidation of the competencies promoted, according to their specific needs.
4. Develop individual mentoring sessions with each teacher inspiring their line of interest and deepening, according to the proposed methodology.
5. Support all the research and support activities required for the development of the components of the Teachers and Teachers that Inspire 2021 program (mentoring, training meetings, systematization of experiences and training communities).
Participants will be able to apply to one of the nine support lines before March 23. The lines of research are: Innovation, ICT and gamification, inclusive education, artistic and aesthetic education, leadership and entrepreneurship, mathematical problem solving, communication and poly-literacy, environmental education and sustainability, rural education and interculturality, global citizenship and culture of peace.
