KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed slightly higher by 8.33 points or 0.13% to 6,356.16 at the end of trading Friday (19/3).
A total of 176 stocks rose, 295 shares fell and 168 stocks remained unchanged.
Four sectors of stocks rose, supporting the increase in the JCI. Meanwhile, six other stock sectors are in the red zone.
The stock sectors with the largest increases were sectors consumer goods which rose 2.47%, the manufacturing sector rose 1.66% and the basic industrial sector rose 0.99%.
Meanwhile, the sectors with the deepest decline were the construction sector, which fell 1.53%, the plantation sector fell 1.17% and the mining sector fell 0.66%.
The total volume of stock trading on the stock exchange today reached 18.61 billion shares with a total value of Rp 13.77 trillion.

Foreign investors recorded net purchases of Rp. 512.29 billion in all markets.
The stocks with the largest foreign net purchases were PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) IDR 104.3 billion, PT HM Sampoerna Tbk (HMSP) IDR 100.4 billion, and PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) Rp. 87.6 billion.
Meanwhile, the stocks with the largest foreign net sales were PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) IDR 64.6 billion, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) IDR 51.9 billion, and PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI) IDR 27.6 billion.
