YouTube censored the video of the singer Santiago Cruz for showing intimate scenes between Maleja and Tatán

Six days after posting the video for his new single, ‘Como desde la primera vez’, the Ibaguerean singer Santiago Cruz has problems viewing content on YouTube. According to the artist, The images would be being censored because the digital platform classified them as risque.

“I know that some have had problems finding the video of ‘As from the first time’ … There we are on an issue with the platform because they have sent it for review a couple of times, apparently for sensitive images. Well, I don’t know. I really don’t know how sensitive they are ”, Cruz said in some stories he published on his Instagram account that already exceeds 636 million followers.

The “Sensitive images” to which Cruz refers are related to the fact that in the video The famous couple formed by María Alejandra Restrepo and Sebastián Mejía appears naked, better known as Maleja and Tatán, respectively.

Both have become known individually for their professional careers: she as a model and presenter and he for his performance in motocross. What’s more, are recognized for talking openly about their relationship that, after ten years and two daughters, they are still like “partners”, as they describe themselves.

The lyrics to ‘Like from the first time’ talk about what it takes to keep love in a relationship for a long time. It also has stanzas dedicated to physical displays of affection, so In the video, Maleja and Tatán are seen together, caressing, kissing and laughing while in bed, only covered by a sheet.

Santiago Cruz, who in addition to composing and singing the song directed the video, joked about the situation. The singer blamed the protagonists of the content for the problems he is having with YouTube.

“In the end, everything is the fault of Tatán and Maleja, who want to be stubborn (undressing) in all the videos”Cruz said with a laugh.

After that message, and in a serious tone, the singer returned to refer to the situation and He said it did not seem fair to him that his video was censored when really controversial images are found on the same platform.

It should be noted that, although the video of ‘As from the first time’ shows the great affection that Tatán and Maleja have for each other, scenes that qualify as pornographic material are not shown.

The artist stated that he and his work team have appealed twice to YouTube’s decision of hiding or downloading the video, however, the platform continues to block the material for now, making it difficult for people to find it. Despite this fact, it stands out that The content has already been played 121,626 times and Cruz’s followers have left him thousands of comments congratulating him on the song and the video.
