Cédric Heitz’s men started the match well thanks to a trio of Waters – Leslie – Archie who were successful (23-10 at the end of the first quarter). After a drop in speed allowing the Portelois to return to two possessions (34-29, 17th), Champagne Basket finished the second quarter better to give itself a mattress of nine points at the break (40-31).

An advance that Joshiko Saibou and his teammates managed to grow in the third quarter, in particular thanks to an efficient Dominique Archie at three points (66-53, 30th), and who finished the match in top scorer (24 points).
