It was around 6:15 a.m. this Sunday when Yannis Gazhi, a 29-year-old man buying pastries from the vending machine in the bakery (still closed) was targeted by a hooded individual.
The victim, an inhabitant of Villeneuve known to the police and who was the subject of a conditional release had received three bullets in the back, one of which was fatal in the neck.

A judicial investigation was then opened and the case entrusted to the judicial police.
At the time, the deputy public prosecutor Boris Dufau indicated that this execution had all the characteristics of the various settling of scores that have occurred since the beginning of summer 2020 between the actors of the “milieu” of Grenoble.
